"Memorable and great value for money"

The house is so interesting and the tour was fantastic. The lady was so knowledgable and also funny

The bar was quite expensive and the toilets a long way away from the lounge

We had a FANTASTIC TIME, it was a surprise for my partner Linda as I was proposing to her. I did so in your Chapel which made it even more magical. I would like to thank the hotel for the extras in our room - Swans on the bed and the bottle 🍾 of bubbly on ice We thought the friendliness of the staff was 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breakfast was great and we plan to return on our anniversary next year Paul Angus & Linda Smalley 🙂🙂

"Wonderful place to stay"

Wonderful place to stay. History everywhere. Chapels are outstanding. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Only disturbance is bird calls and that is a welcome disturbance. Close to Durham Central as well. We just took a short drive to the park and ride.

I am now being picky. The shower in our room was poor. You tended to end up with a dribble if you wanted warm water Breakfast was fine but a bit sparse
