New Cormorant Lake Resort & Yala Safari Place

10/10. The hotel was neat and comfortable. Located in beautful area. Host is really hepful, he took us for a trip around the lake for bird watching. Also he arranged Safari for next day. I really recommend this place:)

Owner is the best. Arranges everything and keeps you safe from scams and bad people. Safari arranged by him was good and the food was delicious. Amazing stay for one or two nights + Safari

A bit far outside but the city itself isnt that much worth so.

Room was very clean and comfortable!! The host is amazing! He took us on a free tour around the lake in the evening in his tuk tuk! He even arranged our safari in Yala for the following day. Would 100% recommend!

Such a beautiful location and a lovely lounging area which was nice for a group. Our host was so friendly and helpful. So many birds and crocodiles!!

The host was very nice and helpful. We even got two small evening safaris and he knows quite a lot about the local fauna. We also took the safaris the were arranged for us so we didn't need to organize ourselves!

New Cormorant Lake Resort was one of the best places I've ever stayed at because of the incredibly warm hospitality of Gayan and his Mom. They go above and beyond for their guests, cook and serve delicious food, organize safaris with great drivers and the host even takes all guests on a private and free evening tuktuk trip around the nearby lakes to watch local wildlife (hunting flying foxes, crocodiles, rare owles...). 100% recommend!!

The property is overall nice! We booked a room with no ac but that was a mistake. It gets so hot the fan is not enough! So book a room with ac. The house is next to a lake so there’s so much mosquitoes around, even tho they have mosquitoes repellent it’s not enough but they try their best to keep them away. We booked a safari trip trough this host and that was amazing! The driver was amazing and we spotted all the animals even though it was dry season (difficult to spot animals) and even got a close look at the leopard (very lucky!). So if you wanna go on safari this is a very good place for that. The owner also gave us a tour around the lake which was very nice and free of charge, we saw a lot of birds, batts and crocodiles!

We had to wait more than one hour for the breakfast, at the end we had to call them because they apparently forgott about us. Compared to the other places where we payed more or less the same money, the breakfast was very poor and small. We had dinner there too but the food is not the best quality for the price they ask.

Amazing location with ample space to sit in the garden, crocs right in front of the house. Free tuktuk tour around the lake. Good communication with host, who was able to arrange everything we needed and organized a good guide for a reasonable price for a trip to a temple in Yala

The rooms’ window faces the eating area, not directly the garden, so no outside view which makes it quite dark and airflow is bad. Meals took a long time to be served.
