Chapel Cottage with Log Burner (Dog Friendly)

It was a very homely cottage with really lovely decor and little quirks that we loved. Excellent location close to everything. Hawes is a beautiful village & friendly. Would stay here again and recommend the Log burner cottage to stay at. Great host.

Great location in the lovely village of Hawes . The cottage is quaint and is beautifully decorated. Comfortable sitting room, lovely compact kitchen and very nice shower room. The beds are very comfortable .

Found it tricky to locate the property when we arrived. The cottage name sign was covered with foliage making it difficult to see. Whilst the foliage looks lovely over the front of the property it really could do with pruning as it’s hanging down over the doorway too. The kitchen is generally well equipped apart from there being only 1 wine glass! I guess there have been breakages in the past because there are 4 glass tumblers and 4 champagne flutes .

The cottage was in a great location, central to Hawes, with parking. It was a beautiful character property, with high quality interior, Wi-Fi and lovely bed linen and towels provided.

Loved the property. So close to town .. the beds were extremely comfortable. The place was spotless... so many amazing walks. Thanks for adding to our family memories ...

Location was perfect, parking was good for 2 motorbikes, accommodation was clean and very well maintained, we would definitely stay there again.

The location was excellent. The log fire, amazing!

The stairs to the second bedroom are challenging! The kitchen is tiny, but functional.

The cottage was very well located and comfy. There was a pack with information about the cottage, numbers and things to do which was helpful. All the basic facilities were in the cottage and shops were barely a minutes walk away. The cottage is dog friendly as advertised and has a (tight) parking space for one car. It is a beautiful area and the host responded quickly so I had a lovely stay. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. To repeat what others have said....parking space is tight, have to take the dog out for a wander in the am and at night as no garden and the hot tap is VERY hot!

A welcome hamper would be nice as Hawes, although a great location, is isolated and once the shops close (4pm sunday, 6pm other days) there is nowhere to buy essentials if you arrive late or get stuck in traffic. I did check times and picked up bits on the way but this is always an appreciated touch. There is no washing machine which I checked beforehand. The launderette was closed as they were on hols so the closest one was a 30 min drive....pack enough clothes!
