Many options, very pretty, good scenery

Not a swimming beach, lots of rocks

Location, room much of the staff was great. Unfortunately our experience at the spa and our experience at check out ruined our chances of going back to this resort. And also unfortunately, I will be sharing this poor experience with my friend and family circle. It is a shame, as there were definite highlights to our trip overall. It is just that when I spend as much as I did, I do expect respectful and accommodating service. Your spa and checkout staff failed completely in providing that level of service. I submitted a formal complaint to Kevin at the Casitas concierge desk about my spa experience (room 2604/Merida and 2606/Picart) and Francisco Sanchez at the Royale lobby for checkout is aware of our horrible checkout experience. We will not be guests at the Dorado resorts in the future.

Property is well laid out.

Customer service - But they will never pick up phone calls. Waited for 3 hours and no one answered phone. Airport pick up and drop off should be automatic and easier. Food is also same everyday. Drinks were not well mixed. Should have a welcome drink (non-alcoholic drink) as soon as the guests arrive.

Lots of areas to explore, lovely tropical gardens to walk around, always a cabana or lounger or hammock to relax on, multiple pools with swim up bars, and it never really felt too busy. You can find a quiet spot or a lively spot depending on what you're after.

Food was mediocre. They don't enforce their rule that sun beds could not be "reserved" by leaving a towel. The beach is quite rocky and there are large concrete wave breakers so swimming is not really an option.
