Whole property very run down . Locks and key boxes hard to use. Torn curtains in bedroom which could easily be replaced.

GBWe always choose the White Anchor when we're staying in Hastings, the room is gorgeous (5 is always our choice and fave ♡) and it's in such a perfect location!!!

Well what can I say! We arrived to are room (3). The curtains were ripped/shredded! The mattress was dirty and no protector over it! Trip hazard being an extension lead for nothing. Also red stains on the carpet. And smelt damp n musty! Also the door hinge on the door caseing was held in place with filler! Hardly secured! Also that wasn't the room what we booked! So complained and they put us in room (7) which was the superior room of them all. As we made are way up the flights of stairs we was greated with a pigeon flying around are heads! My partner was mortified! So we headed further up the last set of stairs came across lots of pigeon poo! 💩. All over the carpet! Very welcoming I should say! Finally arrived in the room that was advertised at last. We thought this was better than the othere room (3). My partner checked the mattress and didn't have a mattress protector. Then we tryed to open the window to get some air in the room. But the sash windows mechanism wasn't working. As a result nearly dropped down on her hand, so propped it open with a coat hanger. I looked at the wind and noticed the window frame had a large gap at the top and could see the actual frame of the window was coming apart from its mounting! And the window was cracked in several places and glue/silicon had been applied to the cracks. Clearly not safe! Then we made the decision not to stay. We contacted the host and he was uncooperative when asked for a refund. He just said contact booking.com. so upon leaving the pigeon was still flying around. I went in the toilet and there was poo💩 and dirt all over it. Totally ruined our trip away. Had no choice but to return home due to no accommodation being available. Such a shame as we would of loved to explore Hastings a little bit more. (currently dealing with booking.com). I've got pictures and videos of the establishment.They don't lie! Unsafe and unhygienic. Please be warned ⚠️ .

GBThe warm baths ... In dirty bathroom .. Bed fairly comfortable ...
Place dirty ... First room they put me in ... Far two small .. low roof over bed ... No light switch in room.. no TV ... Very uncomfortable , think mattress.... They moved me to a slightly better room for nights 2 and 3.... But had to make up my own bed... No room service in either room... Dirty full bin next to bath ... Not changed throughout 3 day holiday.,. Loo seat in separate toilet ... Not connected and hence slipping around ....
