Canalside B and B

What a lovely B&B right on the canal, easy to find and such a friendly welcome - also so welcoming of my dog.

That I wasn’t able to stay longer.

Spotlessly clean, idyllic location, friendly locals, pub within walking distance, wonderful walks, excellent hosts, delicious breakfast large selection of breakfast items, bedlinen soft and smelt freshly laundered, comfortable bed

Easy to find and park the car, warm welcome, great location, comfy and clean rooms & facilities, good wifi in the room, great breakfast, amazing host. Will definitely come back if in the area again.

Canalside location. The owner kept hens, free range so the eggs were delicious. Cereal and full English available. Coffee -French Press - was perfect. Excellent home cooking. Great welcome. Speak to the hostess for evening meal. We enjoyed a canalside walk too.

As it was a B&B our room didn’t have en-suite. However, the other guests were regular reps and away early so we didn’t see them at all. There were 2 loos, and a bathroom on our floor which was fine.

Gail was so helpful. She went out of her way to make my stay so relaxing. It is most unusual to be able to have an evening meal at a B&B but Gail’s was very tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was great with plenty of variety. There was a shared bathroom but two toilets so there was never a problem. I particularly enjoyed watching the boats pass by on the canal. My room was very clean and bright.

Sharing bathroom is not our preference - we should have noted that this was mentioned in listed. Location of parking is not well signed and a van always seems to park blocking easiest access to home.
