"Lovely property in great locatjon"

Great location on the banks of the Grand Union Canal. Easy to find and good off road dedicated parking. Good pub 10mins walk away. Our canalside room was very quiet and although not en-suite the shared facilities were more than adequate Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Would definitely recommend

Gail the proprietor was an excellent host! Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.we had a great view of the canal and the garden. I was fascinated with the chickens who supplied us with fresh eggs each morning. Would recommend to anyone Yelvertofts best kept secret !

There was nothing that I could honestly say I didn’t like.

Breakfast very nice on both days. Plenty of veriety on offer.

Sadly, the room had no en-suite so shared facilities were down the corridor. Not really a problem as never had to queue. Information on this was provided at the time of booking but I had overlooked it.

We chose to stay here overnight as we were going to a wedding nearby (in Market Harbourough), and liked the idea of the canal views and quietness the next day. It was a great choice as the hostess Gail was so welcoming and down to earth, and made a wonderful breakfast. The house is very charming, the rooms has everything you need and the bed was comfortable. There are hens / chickens wandering around outside and everything was simply perfect for a countryside / canalside stay. Gail even kindly gave us a lift back to the town where we had left our car at the wedding venue, saving us some time and money for taxis. We would definitely love to stay here again for an actual holiday if we ever get the chance as it would be the perfect place for some relaxation.
