ALON CLOUD9 Beach Front

After 3 jets, 1 prop plane, and one van ride we finally reached Alon Cloud 9 Resort in the pouring rain. Julius greeted us with umbrellas at the gate and escorted us to our cottage. For the next seven days were treated like royalty by Julius and his staff which made the whole trip worthwhile. The kitchen staff were amazing, cooking us an outstanding breakfast of eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, bangus, and lots of fresh fruit; perfect after all our early morning surf sessions. The housekeeping staff were also great, refreshing the room every day. The maintenance staff also did a great job keeping the beautiful hotel grounds immaculate. This was our first visit to Siargao and I feel like we really lucked out finding this resort. The location was perfect for surfing with direct beach access and the staff were remarkable. This trip has been a long time dream for me and it was just what I hoped for! Thanks Alon Crew!

Breakfast was delicious, tranquil and relaxing location. All the staff were so warm and welcoming, incredibly attentive and happy to help in any way. Julius the manager was there to assist on any request big or small. Would definitely recommend. Also stunning location right on top of the beach.

We loved staying at the bungalow - it really felt like living at the beach. Lovely plants surrounding the property and just a minutes walk upfront to the surf breaks. The location is just incredible. And it is not crowded - really serene. It feels like a private little sanctuary. The team was amazing and Julius was incredibly caring and thoughtful. He made us feel taken care of and right at home. A beautiful truly tropical beach stay! We can’t wait to go back!

The property doesn’t really have a restaurant/bar/kiosk nor there is a kitchen you can use so you need to go outside to get food, drinks and snacks. That is mostly ok because there are many options around. However, it made us not really hang at the pool as we knew we would want to eat or drink something so we preferred to hang at the pool at a different resort who had a full restaurant. I found that a little pity because it would be amazing to have at least a juice/smoothie bar in house.

This place was fantastic! Julius was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. The room itself was spacious, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the double blinds made it possible to keep the room nice and dark for sleeping. The bathroom was large, and the shower had great water pressure. Even though it’s right in the heart of Cloud 9, it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfasts were tasty, too. We’ll definitely stay here longer next time we’re in Siargao!

The only downside was the weak WiFi signal in the room, although it worked much better out on the terrace. Improving the WiFi inside would make this place absolutely perfect.

The staff was absolutely wonderful and really made our stay special. Nice hotel with clean rooms. Guessing it’s one of the nicest hotels on the island. I can highly recommend The Alon for your trip to Siargao.

The room was so gorgeous and comfortable, massive shower and lovely bathroom. The bed was the best ever. There was a daily housekeeper which was really nice. The resort has a gate which exits onto the beach, you couldn’t be any closer to the sea it is amazing. The breakfast was divine and there was good choice, local Filipino options as well as western choices too. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the environment in the resort was so beautiful and calming. You are right in the heart of nature.
