The Nelson - Spacious City Property and Free Parking

Parking on site and close to train station.

When we arrived the property was very unclean (floors dirty, long dark hairs throughout and kitchen area/appliances dirty) throughout so I messaged the owner who asked if I would like cleaners to come back the following day. Of course I said yes but the second visit wasn’t exactly great either. They cleaned the floors which was the worst of it but still not great in general. Was told the last guest had been there a week and that’s why it was dirty. Not sure how that is an excuse to let the property out like that and hope they have given it a proper deep clean now. On a side note the owner controls all the heating and has labelled switches for you not to touch under the rouse of being environmentally friendly. The hot water pressure has been restricted to a trickle also.

I needed a quicker check in, it was raining when I arrived and for someone older than me it would be a little difficult to get the keys

A pleasant maisonette in a quiet development, ideally located for the nearby station, which is only 2 stops (10 mins) from Glasgow Central. Nicely decorated and well appointed. Helpful owners were on hand to solve a problem with the TV too.

Squeaky bedroom doors were annoying during the night! Electric shower wasn't very powerful.

A little far from the centre. We used uber a lot

This is a lovely flat, spacious and sparkling clean. The furniture is super comfortable - amazing beds, soft bed linen, comfy upholstered sofa and swivel chair in the front room, and a generous amount of pillows, cushions, and towels. The temperature of the flat was perfect, heating was on at the right times, and we never felt cold. The area is very quiet, and only 5 mn' walk from Bridgeton train station. The local pub was great (The Scotsman).

There was no coffee making equipment provided, a cafetière would have been so lovely. Apart from that, no problems, the kitchen was well equipped.
