Easy to find on foot (from a parking lot), easy to get in, sweet space with small communal kitchen available

They hadn't promised parking, but it was much harder to find than I expected from the info received in advance. "Park across the street, free from 7pm to 9am" sounded great... then there were no spots available at all. Not their fault, but would have been nice to know in advance

Its in the middle of town

Clear communication and transparency about the experience, self check in was efficient and well explained. I booked a room, not an apartment, but still had access to a small shared kitchen. Very easy to find and close to all the pubs and stores in Ambleside. Easy access from Windermere train station by bus 555/599.

I don't believe the room was up to standards. The bed is not a large double bed/not a king bed, the linens were stained, so was the white chair and the carpet. It was clean (the chair smelt of bleach) but not 4-star clean. Overall the place looks a little old and in need of TLC, it was alright for one night.
