THE AMBLESIDE APARTMENTS - Self catering with private kitchen - Best for Location

Great location, very handy for the local amenities. Very comfy bed.

The shower room smelled strongly of damp. The shower head was black and sealant was mouldy. The other guests were great at slamming the front doors, late at night and early in the morning.

Some unclean things in bathroom. Rubbish left in bin bag in kitchen left a smell around the apartment.

The property is in a superb location.This is our second time staying here.Rooms are incredibly spacious and the bed is definitely the comfiest bed i’ve ever slept in.

Quiet and tidy. It was nice to have all the info and brochures for the area, but the bundle of loose and repetitive pages bout the accomodation was a bit confusing as we didn't know if some of them were updates? Would be better in a loose leaf folder or similar.

Convenient location. Access to a well stocked kitchen. Accommodating host.

Condition of room- stains on walls. Quite old fashioned. Based on this the price could have been a bit lower

Excellent location. In the heart of Ambleside. The apartment was spacious with great facilities The bed was the most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a very long time. It was like sleeping on clouds.

There was a funny smell in the apartment, smelled like cat wee. There is only 1 tiny window in the bedroom that you can open and the living room windows don't open, so there's no fresh air. There's no fan/ air con unit to help keep the apartment cool, particularly as you can't open the windows.

Location was excellent, all requirements for a short stay were met.

Shower is very slow draining, shower hose doesn’t fit in the holder correctly and can fall out. TV is on its last legs, if on for a few minutes it starts to show lines and changes in colours. Toilet seems to need a couple of flushes - I think the water level in cistern is set too low.
