Entorno Tulum - Luxury Villas

There was a code for the main entrance and door to the villa. Instructions sent well ahead of us arriving and good advice saying to download the info before we arrived.

Nothing :)

A huge building site in front of the house. No permanent roads. Couldn't get into the house for a whole day because the combination lock didn't work. The patio chair was broken and unusable. Dirt under the bed. Out of 7 days, the shower drain was clogged for three days. Overall, Tulum has grown a lot. The quiet flair of the past has been lost.

We loved it. Came for day 0, 4 people. Lovely location and private.

Great, clean and comfortable

The basic supplies such as paper towel, toilet paper and garbage bag were not available in the house and were given little by little, this should be in the house. Only 1 bath towel was given for each guest, but it was also sent upon request. The smell of sewage outside the house because of the constructions also hindered the use of the pools.

Ok splash pool

Avoid this one. Must be over 20 years old and nothing renovated. The place is dirty and worn down, and not at all like the pictures. Way out in the jungle on a poor dirt road. Security is almost non-existing. There are no fire detectors, door locks are impossible to lock and above all easy to open without a key. We felt ripped off with the rate they charge and will be filing a formal complaint. Had to check out a day early as we did not feel safe or comfortable at all. Nothing short of a disgrace!

Bloomsom was very helpful getting us a shuttle to and back from Cancun.

Where to begin? The villa didn’t seem to be fully completed. The roof on the terrace was not waterproof which ruined one of our dinners since water kept leaking down into onto our table and our couch making everything soaking wet. The concrete stairs up to the second floor are not properly slanted leading to big puddles of slippery water amassing every morning, making it dangerous for both adults and children. Both rooms smelled like sewage on multiple occasions. Our sheets, towels, toilet paper were never changed even though we requested both multiple times both from the Bloomson concierge and staff. We ended up having to purchase our own fresh towels and toilet paper.

The pool, garden and bed are oke

It’s was dirty, very little kitchen equipment. Things were not working properly. Electric doorlock was not functioning

The interiors were nicely done.

This property is totally unsuitable for a family with young children. It is basically 2 flats on top of each other. With one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs. To get to the upstairs room, you have to go outside, past a swimming pool and up about 15 steps. We could not leave our kids up there alone so had to put them on the sofa bed next to us. Even if we had decided to leave them in one of the rooms we couldn’t have heard them if something was wrong, and it just didn’t feel that safe. It completely defeated the purpose of us booking an apartment. Our apartment looked over a construction site. Not just a small construction site, it was all we could see from all our windows. A big pile of rubbish and some portaloos. The road to the property was terrible and the place itself felt so isolated. Definitely not the jungle escape we had envisioned for our Christmas break. The builders were there from early morning with music blaring. The beds were big and comfortable but all the sheets were polyester, I think if you’re trying to be ‘lux’ at least buy cotton sheets. The kitchen had one wine glass when we arrived, no bottle opener and one pot to cook in. The staff were responsive when we asked for things, but never delivered the remote for the television we asked for. We actually asked if we could leave after one night as it wasn’t suitable for young kids but they said a refund for the following nights wouldn’t be possible.

Decent design

Even though the host says that there is some construction around in the ad, it is not clear that the place is in the middle of the construction and it is not safe, specially since there are not even pave roads with lights around the property. There are needles from the construction around the property that are not safe for the cars or anyone walking around. There was a very bad smell from the mix of the humidity and the dust from the construction. There was also black fungus in the property, but they cleaned it after we reported it. We were traveling with a kid and seniors and were always worried about them. In fact, on the last day one person fainted.

I loved the decor in our room,and it was neat and clean. host did any needs we had. I must say that the stay was awesome
