"A pleasant and memorable place for our short stay"

10.0

We feel like home with enough heating under very cold weather. The house is facing River Thames with very beautiful scenery surrounded by a magnificent garden.

We think the shower pressure could be a little bit more stronger.

Naren, the owner, greeted us upon arrival. Very hospitable and friendly. We were shown around the accommodation. He was on hand, if needed. Otherwise, we were left to come and go and enjoy our stay. Comfortable beds. Convector heaters supplied, as there was no fixed heating, but it was warm. The river Thames was flowing fast, and we enjoyed the views. We had everything we needed and will definitely visit again.

The parking was a bit cramped. I had to do some careful manoeuvring. The mooring next to the river had no life belt and was completely open, so do take care as it's over 30 feet deep there. Other than that....No complaints. We absolutely LOVED our stay!

The host was very accommodating and friendly Provided interesting facts on property and area history along with a tour and details on the garden, flora and biodiversity. The River Remembers by Tash Terlecki In the hush before morning, the Thames breathes in silver light. Its surface ripples softly — neither still nor restless — carrying time the way a hand carries memory. From the window, two quiet guardians watch: black and gold, whiskered sentinels of dawn. Their gaze meets the water, and beyond it — a single swan glides by, white as a whispered prayer. Outside, the garden stirs. The fig, heavy with promise, leans toward the house, its leaves already edged in autumn gold. Beneath the cherry tree, fallen petals have turned to paper — each one a letter to the earth, unsigned but understood. Here, the world does not rush. Here, the air carries the scent of all its histories — of Kew Gardens and the hands that once tended them, of seeds brought from faraway shores, of artists who dyed stories into cloth and called them home. And as night falls again, the swans return — their reflections gliding beside them like ghosts of their own grace. A spider builds her temple in the window, her web trembling with the weight of moonlight. The river hums beneath it all, ancient and unhurried a quiet witness to every soul who has paused beside it and, for a fleeting moment, remembered what it is to belong to the world.

Travelling with multiple bags and cat/pet carriers was a challenge as the unit is located near the waterfront and accessible through the garden which was far from the parking but the host offered to assist and the view made up for it, its so peaceful on the water.
