RIVER RETREAT- near Holloway U, Thorpe Park and Heathrow airport

The property was a lovely private cabin area directly next to the River Thames. It had everything you would need for a stay, the property was well equipped for everything. Kitchen had an oven, microwave, kettle and washing machine. There was plenty of cutlery, plates, bowls and even a clothes dryer for after the use of the washing machine. Two Bedrooms each with its own double bed, both beds had heated bottom sheets which for October was great, especially since my partner and her sister are always very cold. There was towels laid out when we arrived and there was plenty of storage space Living area had a sofa which could turn into a sofa bed which my sister said was very comfortable, there’s a large dining table and plenty of board games to choose from. The WiFi is of good strength, it didn’t drop at all during our stay. Parking is on the hosts large driveway. We had two cars which they accommodated with no problem. The driveway has a large electrical gate that you get a fob to so can come and go as you please. There is a £7 charge per car per day but this is to expected I would suggest being so close to London. Dr Naren greeted us when we arrived, he showed us round, giving us a brief history of the area which was a nice touch as the stay felt more personalised. Overall the property is great, it accommodates for every family and even though we didn’t need anything extra our hosts were excellent, I’m sure if we had any problems or queries they would go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here, I will be recommending to friends/family and also to my clients as I run a travel agency. Thorpe park is a 5 minute drive away which is one of the main reasons we wanted to stay in the area.

The location is absolutely amazing. Being right on the water, watching the boats go by and feeding the swans was a highlight. The ability to park on-site is a bonus and being within walking distance of Thorpe Park was great. Dr Naren was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we may need for our stay including tips on what to see in the area and where to go for meals etc. The accommodation really felt like a home away from home with games for the kids and books to read. A massive thank you for a great stay. We would definitely come back and have already recommended this to friends.

Wonderful location, just perfect. Lovely accommodation, clean and had everything that we needed. Hosts were great, friendly attentive and could not do enough to make our stay perfect.

Die Lage war einmalig. Direkt am Flussufer, sehr ruhig. Der Garten war wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Das Haus war mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich.

In der Küche gab es keinen Tee und auch keine Kaffee. Der nächste Shop war ca 15 Minuten Fussmarsch entfernt. Die Strasse zum Haus war dunkel. Der Preis war sehr hoch.

Location and view of the Thames was superb

Shower intermittent hot and cold but not really an issue. Car parking cost

Location for Thorpe park (you can walk) and beautiful gardens. Dr Naren is a great host. The view from living area is lovely, looking out over the Thames. Hosts provided Indian breakfast (small fee)..it was really tasty and well presented.

Needed some table lamps in living area. TV could be a bit bigger.

The property was perfect for our stay visiting Thorpe park with our teenagers. Excellent location. Beautiful surroundings. Had everything we needed and we will definitely stay here again.
