Modern Condo 2 Blocks From Quarters

It's a pretty remodel of and traditional NOLA suite upper floor I rented the NOLA electric Bluebikes at the Starbucks down the street and have a fun ride in the bike lanes to the French Quarter.

Might be a better place for a couple. The neighborhood is very dark and quiet. You access the apt down a dark alley to go behind the house, and up the metal stairs. I didn't feel very comfortable coming back alone as a single woman at 11p at night, but the neighborhood was quiet and cute in the daylight.

Nice walk in the daytime to downtown. Take a cab at night.

Host did not send the property key information until the middle of the day I travelled to NOLA, i.e., when I was not able to access it without internet. This meant that I was potentially stranded in the dark outside the house when I arrived, and it took a long time for the host to explain what to do over the phone. At the time of my stay, there were no hangers in the closet, no hooks for hanging clothes, no washer as advertised, and no hot water for showering. The only warm water in the place came from the cold water tap in the bathroom sink. I hope this property improves.

The size of the apartment was great. Very clean and modern inside. Having a kitchen and a fridge was great.

The back yard could do with a bit more lighting for access after dark.

lack of conveniences in the place. lack of extra bedding. lack of toiletries. lack of hot water in the bathroom sink. tub drained very slow. floors were unsteady. back steps leading up to property were steep. some outlets didn’t work and some exposed electrical wiring. general lack of upkeep of the property

Pictures did not deceive. Was very clean and very convenient. I would recommend and will be staying again soon.

There was nothing to dislike

I BELIEVE THAT THE LOCATION IS GREAT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO HANG ON BOUBON ST AND FRENCH QUARTER. NICE AND COZY APARTMENT NEAR ALL ENTERTAINMENT.

I WOULD HAVE LIKE TO KNOW THAT I HAD TO WALK UP 90 MILLION STEPS IN THE DIRTY BACKYARD TO GET TO THE APARTMENT.

The affordability of the place was amazing. Loved the full size fridge to keep water/snacks cold. The neighborhood, while not high-end, was friendly and I never felt unsafe. About a mile walk to downtown. If you have mobility issues, you may have complications due to uneven/ missing sections of sidewalk, or even sections completely closed down, but this is a common problem throughout New Orleans.

Picked the location due to proximity to trolley stations. Found out after arrival that the nearby stations had been closed down. (Not the fault of the owner, obviously) Also, there were holes in the walls, fireplace chimney and bathroom door. You could see the outside ground through cracks in the floor. There was debris in the fireplace. Couldn't get the water hotter than lukewarm.

It was clean. Did not see any bugs at all. Bathroom looked brand new.
