The Shack - Thatched Self Contained Annex

Great accommodation but topped off with great outside area. All in all top place

The place is perfect, private entry with use of a trolley to take things from your car to the property. Huge outside area with bbq and plenty of seating and sun beds. Inside it is amazing how everything fits in, cosy fire, big tv, alexa to use. Nice size bathroom and kitchen, all supplies have been thought of. Bed is super comfy with games and books in a nook next to the bed. Owner very polite and friendly, making sure you have everything you need for your stay. Local shop is also great, polite and friendly staff, only a short walk.

The garden was lovely with plenty of space to relax.

It was rather cramped and cluttered. I bashed my head many times trying to avoid the beams. A small amount of a toilet roll was left, which quickly ran out. The WiFi came and went off many times. The host didn't seem too bothered. The shower tray was cracked and felt spongy when standing in it. I felt it could do with a freshen up and declutter...I am a designer and homemaker, so perhaps being overly fussy 🤔

Beautiful little cottage, very clean, tiny but gorgeous. Really well finished. Loved the biscuits, milk and squash/tea/coffee that was there. Beautiful garden.

Our only issue was that the WiFi wasn't fully working, which meant we couldn't be on phones or watch TV. The owner tried hard to fix it and I believe was getting it fixed the day after we left. With 3 pre teens, it was a bit tricky with no wifi!
