Swallows Nest Cotswolds lakeside spa home Lower Mill Estate

Lower Mill Estate , the bistro and spa and surroundings are excellent. Particularly the staff in the bistro - Ballihoo.

The property that we had was quite a long way below par. Certainly not luxury. In need of some TLC. Equipment broken or malfunctioning. Wardrobes with no hangars. Overflowing shower due to blocked drain. Nothing major but disappointing.

Lots of nice touches and good communication with host

Top room was very warm Spa is not relaxing as no separate area for adults so very noisy and busy with kids

Made own breakfast. location great.

Fridge badly damaged and 2 shelves missing. Dishwasher not working on arrival and had to call in engineer, NO compensation for doing our own washing up for 2 days.

The size and location was a positive.

There was a few things that just wasn’t up to the standard we would have expected for the amount we paid. Shower rails were hanging off the wall, door handles exposing screws when we had little children with us. One of the chairs were broken. Blinds to our room didn’t work. The washing machine was blocked.
