Sercasa - Kingston upon Thames

Location for Kingston areas !

It’s very run down, extremely hot as you can’t open any windows making it like living in a greenhouse and quite unsafe due to the lights that are broken and the very scary dark alley that you have to go by to get to the dark apartment complex !

The location was excellent for our purpose. the unit was clean and well maintained

somethings that would have improved our stay: the bed was very uncomfortable and should be replaced the tub is very slippery when having a shower - risk of falling - needs a rubber mat It would be nice to have some basic items in the kitchen - ie salt & pepper, tea, sugar - a cup of tea would have been great after a transatlantic flight. the patio door did not lock - the property manager was notified and advised maintenance but nothing was ever done about it.

nothing because we couldn’t get into the property, we were left stranded without accommodation and have not even received a refund.

On arrival the door was locked and we couldn’t get in. We phoned the help number and were told that there was an issue with the place and we could not get into the property till the next day. We arranged alternative accommodation and asked for a refund. We were assured that a refund would be issued. After trying for months we have not yet received a refund. What a terrible experience, we were not notified in advance of the issue and had to desperately search for alternative accommodation in the rain tired and with all our bags on the sidewalk. And to add insult to injury we are unable to get a response from Sercasa after having sent countless emails and at least trying to get a refund. Not only did they leave us stranded on a Saturday afternoon but they refuse to reply and have stolen our money. Yes stolen, because that is the word when you take money, do not give a service and refuse to give the money back.

The property was extremely clean, modern and had all facilities we needed as a young family. The location was great, being in a quiet little backstreet which meant we were able to get plenty of rest despite being in London for the busy New Years period. The bathroom was very spacious which was great for bath time for our baby. The property was a short walk to Norbiton train station which goes straight to Waterloo making travel throughout London simple and easy. This was also easy to get to central Kingston (only stop) for a quick coffee or dinner. The heating was also so good we almost forgot we were there in peak Winter time, until we stepped outside each day.

We were there for 2 weeks so some extra towels and blankets would of been great, however we didn’t feel the need to request these items from the host as some friends were able to lend us these things. Maybe for next time, that would be great.

It was not wheelchair friendly

We like almost everything.

No cleaning products (we stayed for 3 weeks). We opened bedroom window daily to change air but there was always damp smell. But all in all, it was a great place.

The woven wasn’t working. Hot water didn’t work for 5 days. Bad cleaning.Nobody answer phone or email and they didn’t care about.

The location was close to downtown. A few restaurants around the area. The Norbiton train station was walking distance. A grocery shop was close by as well.

Where to start describing everything that went wrong with the apartment. 1. First night my apartment wasn’t available because of maintenance issues, and failed to notify me. I had no place to stay. I had to paid for a last minute $400 night at another hotel. 2. They said my apartment was going to be ready the following day, I got there and the cleaning crew were just cleaning the place and they gave me a smaller apartment, from what I had paid. 3. To top it off the toilet was leaking water every time you flushed it out. The problem wasn’t fix until 4 days later. We had to used the corner store toilet. 4. The front door of the property is broken it doesn’t lock, so not secure at all. The people said they were going to give a discount for the everything that happened, but they lied. After my check out they failed to reply back to my messages. Booking couldn’t do anything to help because they said it was property issue and they have to fix it. Which i told them you shouldn’t have damaged and non compliant property listed here. We trust that you guys know what you’re doing. Anyways do not stay here. You gonna have a lot of issues. Trust me we learned the hard way, this trip was so stressful for me and family. Stay away from this place. Do not trust everything you see here.
