The Kings Head Inn

Vriendelijke medewerkers. Ontbijt typisch Engels. Pub ook typische setting. Dicht bij vele prachtige bezienswaardigheden. Kamer was goed en proper. Zeer goede bedden. Het bad was ontspannend na een wandeling. We hebben enorm genoten.

Niet veel :). Als ik toch iets moet zeggen dan zou ik voorstellen voor meer variatie bij het ontbijt.

Room comfortable

I was in a room immediately above the bar so it was noisy until closing so no early night. Also no instruction on breakfast so was sat for 10mins outside the breakfast area trying to work out if my drink would be bought to me or I needed to go find where to go.

Spacious double room, comfortable bed, nice that there was a fan in case the weather was hot. Bathroom was clean and fresh. Good choice of breakfast options including gluten free, and the vegetarian cooked breakfast was delicious.

Tiny car park that was already full when we arrived, but there is a public car park nearby, or you can park in the street overnight if you can find a space. When we checked in we had to wait because the room wasn't ready. There is loud music in the pub on a Saturday night so if that's not your thing then it might be better to stay midweek.

Kings Head is a classic and historic pub right in towncentre. The building is very well maintained and the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Excellent value for money

Booking stated it had free parking. When we arrived however they told us that parking spaces were limited to 4 or 5 with a ‘first come, first serve’ kind of policy. Which isn’t a really nice surprise if you were informed otherwise. Staff was friendly but lacked a bit of warmth or spontaneity you recieve in most pubs. But that was my own personal experience

Stayed here before, lovely Inn in pretty town. Central location with free parking. Very comfortable with great food!
