Hotel Gallo de Mar

Staff were SUPER helpful with giving us details on what to do and where to go. They coordinated a turtle release excursion and airport taxi. Additionally we had trouble with the AC and the addressed it immediately. Simply wonderful stay!

Really beautiful location and hotel grounds. Absolutely perfect if you want to be near to the action but in a serene setting. La punta is a stone throw away and seems to be where all the travellers/parties/restaurants are so it’s a lively spot! The staff are so lovely and helpful, they helped me book taxis and gave me advice on good spots in the area.

One thing I would say is the facilities are quite basic - there was no hairdryer or extra little touches which would have made a difference. There is a communal kitchen and no bar etc which made it feel a bit more like a hostel than a hotel. Although there is a beer fridge!

Great locations, no airconditioning. Showerhead didn’t work.

😊 air conditioned rooms, a really nice pool area, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, just a few metres from the beach and the best food spots! ☹️ unfortunately most of the time cold water only, but seems to be a general problem in this area as the last hotel I stayed in had the same issue
