The views

The place could have been maintained better on the outside. Many cobwebs, the walkway and steps down to the lake was dangerous.

Travelling from Auckland to Rotorua by car, The house was easy to navigate to from the main road when first entering Rotorua. The location of the property is on the lake with beautiful views of lake Rotorua and as mentioned, Very easy to get onto the main road which has the tourist attraction Skyline Rotorua just a few minutes drive from the house and the town centre about 10 minutes drive. Kuirau park, a public and free geothermal park is also close by. There is also a general store directly across the road from the property's driveway. The house has a very warm and welcoming feel and was exceptionally clean and well maintained. A large variety of cooking appliances and utensils are provided in the kitchen as well as firewood for the fireplace in the living room. The shower had awesome water pressure and the hot water stays hot and consistent. Communication from the property's manager regarding our stay was also helpful and easy to follow. We loved our stay at Kawaha on the lake and it made our trip to Rotorua very relaxed and special. We hope to stay again when visiting New Zealand in the future.

Kawaha on Lake was comfortable, clean & a great location with beautiful views. Would definitely be back to stay again.

Great location, warm and homely for family stay. Great fireplace with plenty of wood. Lots of towels. Access to lake. Provision of basic supplies. Across the road from convenience store. Undercover parking. Close to adventure activities.

View, warmth, location, number of beds

I loved the views of Rotorua and the lake- we saw a stunning sunrise! It was close to everything and provided everything we needed. Also we had a Tui singing to us in the morning!

Minor issues- there was a bathroom light we couldn’t figure out how to turn off (😬) and the downstairs toilet light wasn’t working.

The location by the lake beautiful . Lots of parking

The property is old , I have allergies and these were really triggered by the dampness of the building, condensation and deep carpets everywhere . This house would be great in summer for a family but in winter if you suffer from allergies give it a miss
