Kawaha on the Lake

The location was outstanding with a magnificent view. The house itself has the potential to be fabulous also.

The house itself is tired. Nothing that we personally would complain about because the position and the view took away any worries we had. It is unfortunate that the windows had not been cleaned before we arrived. They were very dirty and cobweb covered. The blinds in the house need attention. It just made the place look worse than it actually is. The spa bath did not function. The sliding doors were poorly functioning. The security locks (where the window is held open in a slightly ajar position) on many windows did not work properly.

Location was fantastic.

1. Pillows were terrible. They were lumpy and clumpy. The fillings had separated and was like a clusters of cotton balls. They moved around inside the pillowcase and could not use them. We rolled up towels and used them for pillows. 2. There were not enough dining room chairs; only 6 chairs for 8 people. 3. The dishes were all mismatched and nothing was a complete set of 8.

Great location.

Needs to be deep cleaned. A lot of dirt, spiderwebs, etc.

Lovely views. Beautiful setting overlooking Lake Rotorua. Very handy to town and attractions

Only drawback is that the house gets very hot in the sun. Need to keep curtains drawn to keep the place cool
