Flor's House

Very friendly and helpful host! They provided us with fresh water, fruit, and good tips for what to do around the island and a great homely early breakfast (for the morning we had to leave on the early ferry) with locally sourced choco. We were also able to rent a snorkel for 5$ per day, and were offered rides to the town if we needed them.

The room is basic and more like a homestay than a hotel. It’s outside of the center and uphill, but for us this wasn’t really an issue. Some reviews state the side yard is a garbage dump; which is true, but this is basically the case for all places in San Cristobal. The room could be improved with a cabinet to store clothes in.

Flor and her family are always attentive and helpful. Furthermore, they always treated me like a part of their family. I really appreciate them and I would love to come back there .

Flor was very sweet and tried hard to communicate despite the language barrier. The room was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood quiet at night. Great wifi. It is at the top of a hill but not too bad of a walk to eateries or markets. In any case it's just $2 taxi to the pier and beach

Flor is the one of most amazing hosts we had in our travels. She is so sweet and she treats you as if you’re part of her beautiful family. Do no hesitate to stay here when in San Cristobal and make sure you eat her delicious food, she is an incredible cook. We had the best time. Thanks Flor we hope to see you again

Flor was a great host, she even cooked me homemade ceviche. Her house is nice and close to the beaches. Very comfortable room with fridge and microwave if needed.

It was a bit hard to find/ unassuming from the outside.

Although the property was on the edge of town, Flo who lives there, is very personable and very helpful. She will make breakfast and dinner for you if you want, and that is much cheaper than eating in town. They can even lend you snorkel.

It is really on the edge of town, but the town is so small, that isn’t really a problem.But the taxi did have trouble finding it. The picture included beliw may help with that. Unfortunetely didn’t take more pictures.

Flor’s house was so cute and comfortable. I got my own room and bathroom. For couples it’s a bit cheaper than for a solo traveller, but it’s the same as most other accommodation options.

It’s a bit of an uphill walk, but so nice to walk around the streets of San Cris. Nothing bad!

I liked everything! Flor is such a friendly person that makes you feel at home instantly. She offered me to join for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where she did so delicious food. She also helped me with the laundry. I met her family and friends and was invited to a birthday celebration. Also, I did a trip around the island with one of her friends. I highly recommend staying at Flor’s House. It made my trip to Galapagos unforgettable!

flor was out of town during my 10-day stay but her sister mirna and family made me feel so welcome and comfortable as if i were part of their family, exactly as i hope and prefer to travel. you have your own very large clean room, quiet AC, free filtered water which is so helpful on a tropical island where resources like this can get expensive, access to the laundry machine, and very strong wifi which i hear is rare on the island. mirna always wants to feed you and make sure you feel taken care of. you’ll be staying where the locals live while only a ten minute walk from the endlessly entertaining playa mann as well as the boardwalk (el malecon). there’s also a sweet dog and cat to keep you company who somehow know to never actually enter your room. and you can use their fridge and kitchen if you need. i cant rate this place highly enough and am already planning my return in six months. thank you so much sweet mirna!!
