Static Caravan on Lady's Mile Holiday Park

Location to Dawlish was good just when in caravan could hear the constant road noise

The main bedroom was beside the main road into Dawlish was very noisy and if we had been staying longer it definitely would have been a downside to the property,

Lady's Mile park Dawlish is amazing especially the staff

Couldn't get in caravan. Key code information incorrect so no key to enter van. No hot water. Microwave disgusting. No TV reception. Pee stains over all the upholstery. Could not get any contact with owner. She did not answer phone at all. The staff at Ladies Mile tried numerous times to no avail.

Location and park and site good with good facilities.

Broken windows,toilet seat kept sliding, beds uncomfortable, not very clean. Mattresses didn't have covers on and tv didn't work well.

Caravan size was excellent. Location was good, although site itself could do with a few more signs as its very large & when we tried to go to through touring caravan fields to Dawlish Warren we got a bit lost on site. Staff at Lady Mile very good though overall, as was bar etc.

The caravan was decorated well, very pleased with the fact they had soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc in the caravan.

I followed the instructions and registered my car at reception, however not once did the barrier lift for me. I got shouted at by the security guard when I came back at 2130 one night. The electric kept tripping, which granted was as a result of water in the fuse box, but after resetting the trip switch 6 times it then wouldn’t stay on. Myself and the kids were extremely cold! I would have called the security about the electric had he not just shouted at me about being a mid week check in! I tried to contact the hosts, but they didnt get my message until after the caravan park let them know what had happened and that I wasn’t happy. I was given an apology but no form of offer of a discount on my stay, we were only there 2 nights and the second night was fine, the electric got fixed by the caravan site, but the first night was not pleasant.

The onsite staff at the resort were kind and helpful. They told us they had been having all sorts of issues with the owners of this property and sympathised with our problems we had.

Not adequately cleaned, property from previous people left in places bedrooms, chipped crockery, lack of cutlery, bedding stank of dogs, filthy sofas, no heating or hot water, VERY poor communication with the owner. I have tried to apply for compensation, the owners subsequently accused us of ‘losing’ the swimming wristbands then attempted to charge us £200 for them (although we couldn’t even use the wristbands because they were out of date). A huge disappointment that could have been so much better to stomach, if the owners had cared about us at all and communicated more effectively.
