Riverside House - with parking

Beautiful house. Highly recommended.

A little cold in house late pm and early evening. Warm and cosy later in evening and in the mornings. 4th bedroom very small and bare, others good and great to have 2 ensuites.

Location was excellent. Easy to get into City Centre/Minster and close to Railway Station. Property was very spacious and very well equipped with nice views onto the River Ouse at the front. Lounge area on first floor was really nice to gather in for the evenings. Bathroom showers were nice and powerful.

Just some general observations - Property seemed a little tired in terms of the general decor.(eg bedroom furniture a bit spartan, scuffs and scrapes on paintwork, blind in main bedroom not fitting properly). Not sure that the door into the (really steep and narrow) stairs for going up to top floor was necessary and carpet on stairs appeared a little grubby. No fault of the hosts or property but our stay was affected by rail workers working overnight and using chainsaws to take down branches near the line causing disturbed sleep both nights of our stay. Despite these observations, we really enjoyed our stay

The property is in prime location, close to the town, York Minster etc Is fully equipped, cosy and homely.

Location, central to everything and with parking. Upstairs lounge absolutely wonderful too. Well equipped and would stay again

Downstairs sofa needs some TLC not comfortable. There was a lamp clearly broken in one bedroom that was still plugged in and looked dangerous

Good location, central to train station and city. Plenty of space in the property.

An amazing location, so close to the city centre and train station. We really loved our stay, overall. The house was cosy, clean as a pin, well laid out, plenty of bathrooms, and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped generally. To any adults staying in the twin room - be aware the mattresses are only 3ft wide, and not very comfortable for grown-ups! It's a lovely house, however, and great value!

Although it was fabulous, there were a few small things which would have improved the stay for us, as we were cooking at the property rather than eating out every night: We'd have loved the property to provide: 3 x teatowels at least - one was provided but wasn't sufficient. There were only five people staying, and if more, you'd struggle with one. Additional black bin liners - one was provided. Another couple would have been useful. Tin foil to use in the oven / grill In the bedrooms, a few more blankets on the beds would be good - it was a bit chilly at night.

Everything. Location was excellent. The house itself utterly beautiful
