Riverside House - with parking

Items left were very limited. Only 1 bin bag and 1 dish washer tablet. I have stayed at many houses and these are normally provided as out other essentials

The location was perfect. The weather was beautiful and we got the chance to sit outside. Its very close to the train station especially if you know the short cut and close by to the city centre

Maybe more pots and pans otherwise very well stocked and there was no wiggle room to arrive earlier

Location was excellent Sitting by the river at night time was great Upstairs living room was a very cosey space

More shelving required in toilets . A barbecue facility in Garden would be a plus Parking was very tight for a family 7 seater

The location was excellent, comfortable walking distance to the centre of town and all the historic attractions.

Not that this is a fault of the property, but for older travellers (which we were) the steep stairs to the rooms is a bit of a challenge. Be wary that parking is only for a small vehicle and as the property can cater for up to 6 people a minivan requires offsite parking.

A really beautiful house, perfectly situated by the river the railway station and the City Centre, which with a little more thought and some aspects of the cleaning could be a great holiday let.

We have stayed in lots of holiday lets and this is the first time there has not been a welcome pack. Not expecting a lot but a small milk would have been appreciated to make a drink after a long journey. Access to the property is from the rear where we were met with paper and bits on the ground, it had obviously not been swept for a long time, there were big cobwebs on the windows and dirty sills not a good inviting look on arrival. The lighting to the 2nd floor was very bad someone had to go up to put lights on in the bedrooms to see up the very steep stairs. No shelf in the main bathroom to put even toothpaste on etc. We found fudge under the coffee table in the 1st floor lounge so this had obviously not been vacuumed. No big bags as stated in the welcome book and cleaning materials to spray surfaces and refresh the toilets would have been appreciated. The courtyard garden was very overgrown. Cobwebs were on windows inside and out.

Excellent location. Lovely house with excellent facilities. It had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely come back again and would highly recommend staying here.
