"Tiring."

5.0

Close to city centre with good places for coffee, food, groceries and whatnot nearby. Was always able to park the car in the car park. The flat was clean and the beds were comfortable. (Was helping a family member to move out of accommodation so needed to use the car several times).

It was a heatwave on some days but it was very hot due to the windows all facing the sun. There was one fan but it struggled. Maybe upgrade to a silent newer tech fan? The bathroom mat was probably clean but so old and stained it didn’t look like it. We had a problem with the washing machine - the door wouldn’t open after a cycle. The staff just kept texting videos troubleshoot it (which we’d already done). It took three staff visits before the door was opened. Basically: attentive but ineffective and one of us came very close to having to fly home without some clothes!

"Problems could have been solved with better communication"

4.0

The property was small but had all the basics amenities available. The beds were comfortable and it was a pleasant walk from this quiet area into the city.

We had too many messages before arrival. This made filtering the instructions of how to access the property somewhat difficult. The main stair door has a broken lock, which is not a great safety feature. I suppose the numerous security cameras in the main stair make up for it. The main stairs were very dirty. The apartment door only had one functioning lock, the yale lock was broken. Our stay in Cambridge was during a period of very hot weather. We messaged the company as we were only able to open the windows by less than 10mm. We called again the next day - no answer despite asking to be called back - and messaged again the next afternoon. We finally were sent a video of how to open the windows - the safety latch is not the norm in the UK, and without instructions impossible to open. We had to spend a night in a property with temperatures nearing 30 degrees Celsius. Moreover, it had been a safety issue as one of the windows was marked as the emergency exit. Not

"will come back!"

10.0

We had a really lovely stay! The apartment was clean, modern, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, from cooking utensils to wine glasses, and the appliances were easy to use. The living and dining area felt cozy and bright, especially with the natural light coming through the windows. The bedroom was comfortable, with fresh linens and thoughtful touches like neatly rolled towels on the bed. We also appreciated the quiet surroundings, which made for a restful night.

"Very good accommodation- perfect for self catering, not in city centre but pleasant walk there"

9.0

Very clean, all amenities for a comfortable stay

All electricity was off- whilst I appreciate the need for energy conservation, having the fridge off ( it was 34 degrees when we stayed) and ice melted in the freezer wasn’t good. Also a mirror in the bedroom would be an asset. Whilst it was “easy walk to city centre”, it was still a good 20 minutes to walk and wouldn’t suit some. We needed to park in the street as we didn’t get a space. The front doors of the flats rattle.

"Stay was great but would have liked to be closer to city centre."

7.0

The unit was very clean and tidy. Had a fan as it got warm and windows don’t open very far. We had a parking spot.

The unit itself was spotless and well-equipped, but the overall experience was mixed. The stairwell leading up to the apartment was very dirty and poorly maintained, which gave a bad first impression. Although the front door is meant to be secured by a code, it was left open most of the time, which raised some security concerns. The listing describes the location as central, but it's at least a 20-minute walk to the city centre, so it's not as convenient if you're visiting Cambridge for sightseeing. The accommodation felt more like student housing than a typical holiday rental. It was also quite warm at night, and the windows didn’t open very far, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Overall, while the unit itself was clean and tidy, the building and location may not meet everyone’s expectations.

"Nice 1 bedroom Apartment"

9.0

The apartment was fresh and clean. Washer/dryer was excellent. Kitchen was good for our needs. Beds very comfortable. The staff on the phone were very helpful when needed.

A suggestion would be to put in the description, that the apartment is on the second floor, so that people would know that you have to haul your luggage up two flights of stairs, and take out the bath in the description, as there wasn't one. We had trouble shutting the windows, and then realised that the one that did shut was the fire escape and we couldn't get it open. It is always good to be able to offer guests a blanket as an alternative to quilts, as quilts often get too hot for sleeping.
