Rural Devon retreat in stunning Exe Valley.

Serenely quiet rural property with plenty of internal space to spread out which suited us after having travelled quite extensively. Facilities were adequate for our needs, good shower, good comfortable bed, full kitchen provided, TV, iron & ironing board. Our hosts were friendly welcoming, but not obtrusive, and even did a full wash for us which was most welcome! We were reasonably close to Exeter but there is a bus service nearby anyway. We visited the famous Jamaica Inn in Cornwall and Lynmouth , Parracombe & Lynton. In Devon. We also saw the historic underground water supply system in Exeter, very interesting!

Parking was on the property so was naturally free, however, recent heavy rains had made access an parking a little wet and muddy underfoot, but our car copped the brunt of the mess.

Access is down a very small and overgrown road - it didn’t worry us but some people may struggle

We blindly followed a pin that someone has put on Google Maps, but it takes you to the wrong house. whatthreewords: recall.respects.deflation gives you the correct house! And best to approach from the turning off the A396 that is here: sinkhole.fantastic.torso
