Cosy 3 Bedroom Beachfront Getaway in Mersea

I liked the location. We liked the venue - it was a great site

The underneath of the beds and under the sofas are filthy. There was one inadequate knife that was dangerous to chop with. No oven gloves Not enough champagne flutes Not enough utensils No baking tray No small lights for the evenings so you end up using the overhead bright lights in the bedrooms No spare towels Not enough toilet roll Not enough hand wash No bin bags The beds were extremely uncomfortable, so much so the 5yr olds slept on the sofas because their mattresses were paper thin.

Absolutely freezing no heating, no tv & no wifi, basic things that people require these days. As for a keyboard in the lounge very random. Outside of property needs a lot of tlc and a proper lit path.

Caravan was very clean and well equipped. Beds made was a bonus.

We were previously in a tent weather was bad I booked this at 4am and the owner was so kind to let us go into the caravan first thing once we were up and ready. Thank you for that! The decking was lovely and safe secure for dogs. Nice big swing chair and comfortable table and chairs. Inside was nicely decorated as far as caravans go. Beds were comfortable. Shower worked. There was a radio for music.

No television. That was a slap in the face. Everyone has a television these days it’s a basic appliance. Even prisoners get teles in their cells!! No internet and no way of getting it either as really bad area. We were told there’s a keyboard instead under the bed. We dug it out it was covered in masses of thick dust. After a long day out We were really hoping to snuggle up infront of the tv see what’s on channels 1-5 as these days we’re always watching on demand. We were lost of an evening and morning without that creature comfort. We ended up checking out early. Asked for a partial refund but haven’t heard anything. I really think it should be highlighted that there’s no television. Or just bloody well get a small tv?? As people have continued to complain. It does not say there’s no tele in the description and the reviews I saw were all positive. Wasn’t till we’d got there I looked and saw different reviews all complaining about this whole tv situation. The staff at the campsite were so shocked we had no tele. There was nothing they could do about it to help. I was with my son and he’s autistic the need for screen time/down time is important. We had WiFi in the tent… so we were so bummed to learn we had neither in a caravan ya know!!
