It was huge, so much space, the main bedroom was really big with your own bath round the corner with wardrobes and shelves, the twin room also had a wardrobe and shelves, also had it's own shower, both rooms and living room had televisions. The kitchen had lots of cupboard space, it had views over the fields and it was very quiet. It was a great break and would strongly recommend and would return

This was the perfect base for exploring the Western Lakes. Nestled in a quiet and peaceful location, it provided the tranquillity we were looking for, yet it was still within easy driving distance of many stunning local scenic spots. Phil and Karen were exceptional hosts - friendly, welcoming, and full of great advice on how to make the most of our stay. Their local knowledge really helped us uncover some hidden gems. Having stayed in holiday homes all over the country, we can confidently say this was one of the best. The thoughtful little extras really made it stand out: the dressing room adjacent to the master bedroom, the well-lit dressing table (which meant no fighting over space to get ready in the morning), and the enormous pantry for stocking up on supplies. The thoughtful touches didn't stop with the design - there were board games for cosy evenings in, binoculars for bird watching, and a lovely welcome pack that included milk, cold water, and delicious cakes! The Wi-Fi signal was excellent, much to the delight of our teenager, and the views from the property were breath-taking in every type of weather we experienced (from sunshine to wind, rain, and even hail!). We were lucky enough to spot birds of prey regularly swooping over the fields, adding to the sense of being surrounded by nature. The entire site was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Another great feature of this location is how well-positioned it is for day trips. It's just a short drive into Cockermouth or Keswick, or over to the coast, offering plenty of opportunities to explore away from the more crowded areas of the Lakes like Ambleside and Windermere. And if you're looking for a hearty breakfast, the garden centre next door serves up an amazing one! All in all, this was a fantastic holiday home in a perfect spot, and we can't wait to return.

Good base for travel to northern lakes.Cockermouth in particular was very pleasant.

Location was a little isolated with no local walks.

The lodge was the best we have ever stayed in! There was everything we needed and more, such attention to detail, thoughtful touches like having toiletries and equipment to use if we needed to and everything was immaculate. Lovely, well kept quiet holiday park with beautiful views too. We will be recommending to our family and friends and definitely hope to plan another stay for longer so we can explore the area more.

No negatives at all!

Had everything we needed and more. The caravan was so clean and the interior is stunning. The decking area was incredible for a cuppa tea in the morning. Watching the sunrise over Skiddaw. Just beautiful! The owners came to greet us on the day of arrival. Very welcoming. The welcome pack in the caravan was sooo useful. Nearest pubs, places to eat, maps for walking routes ect. Can’t fault this holiday home at all! And we will certainly be returning <3

Nothing. It was perfect.

This is the perfect property for staying in to access the Lake District. It is superbly equipped, particularly the kitchen. The little extras in the bathroom were also a pleasant surprise. Karen, the owner, is very welcoming. The views are amazing.

The holiday home was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and not only guided us about the facilities but gave us useful information about the area, restaurants and sites to visit The location is beautiful,the views are amazing and very peaceful The owners have gone an extra mile to provide everything one can think of I will definitely be visiting again
