Holyrood Duplex 3-Bedroom Apartment

Great stay at this property. As advertised in all respects. Clean and comfortable. The property team was great to deal with, timely communication and was able to accommodate an early check in for us. The location was good, few short blocks to the Royal Mile with lots of food and shopping options close by.

The only thing I can honestly say that I liked was the proximity to the city centre

Stayed here last weekend for my birthday. First of all, the stairwell stank as though something had died. The rubbish strewn around the chutes stank. When we got into the apartment, initially it seemed ok, but the upstairs bathroom handle dropped off as soon as it was opened. We informed the owner and it took them 2 days to get back to us, asking if anyone had been stuck in there?! The double bedroom mattress sank in the middle and had a dirty smell emanating from it. After the 2nd night, my husband and I slept on the sofa as the mattress was covered in stains. The sofa was ripped, had a smelly aroma and in places and had seen better days. The upstairs shower head was held on with cardboard and kept moving down when in use. Spices in kitchen were out of date. The situation of this apartment is in a good place, but in a poor area and not clean. Light shades resting on light bulbs, which is dangerous. Ruined my birthday experience and will not be going back. Definately not worth the price charged and should be checked before anyone else is unfortunate enough to stay here.

The location was fantastic. Easy walk to the main attractions and a supermarket just across the road.

The building from the outside. No oven trays. One of the shower heads would not stay in place. A very soft mattress that sunk in the middle!

Good location, clean, spacious. Easy access to major attractions, walking distance to train and bus station. Good kitchen setup and very responsive host.

Everything was good. We had a very minor issue with shower system. Shower system had three setups. Its high setup was not able to keep temperature constant. So we used its medium setup and we were fine. Not a big deal.

Could do with bathroom hooks and coat hooks/stand in entrance hall & room in hall cupboard for shoes. Bedside tables

The location couldn't be better, just a few minutes walk from the royal mile and all the other big tourist stuff and there's a view of Arthur's Seat out of most of the windows. The flat is also mainly well equipped and is very spacious.

There are no locks on the bathroom doors and there doesn't seem to be any plug sockets in the bathrooms. The building the flat is in could do with a bit of TLC but that's not down to the owners and the flat itself is perfect.

We rented an apartment in Edinburgh and had a fantastic experience. The place matched the description perfectly, and everything was as expected. The location is superb, with many historical sites within walking distance. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Great location, 5-10 min walk from High Street. Perhaps not so good for elderly or person with bad legs due to 2nd floor. A bit scruffy building, but very nice apartment! Better than expected. Very clean. Good beds. Everything nessesary in kitchen. Perfect for 4 people. Will be OK also for 5-6, beds for 6. But kitchen and living room may be a bit tight. Will definitely use same accommodation if going back and have already recommended to friends.

Minor details, but squeaky bedroom doors. (waking up your partner if bathroom visit at night). A towel rack in downstairs bathroom would be nice. The living room couch have seen better days. No of which diminished our visit!
