More than adequate for our stay

Breakfast was a good mix and good options. Food was tasty and coffee was good. Staff was very nice. Shower was really nice!

One issue was in the night someone banged on our patio door at 1.30am try to get in, I think they were trying to get into another room after being locked out. And i found the mattress quite lumpy but the pillows were nice.

Great location Decent price.

Ordered a steak and it was the worst steak I've ever had couldn't eat most of it. Very disappointed as I really like Green King pubs usually. Staff never asked why I'd left the steak either ☹️

Large car park. Good breakfast selection. Staff were friendly. Hot & powerful shower.

Close to a busy road; choose a room facing the back if you want a good nights sleep. Not easy to walk anywhere - you’ll need a car. Don’t expect to be able to nip across to the M&S across the road as it’s a dual carriage way and no crossings anywhere. The decor was quite tired both inside & out though the bathroom furnishings appeared newer. The hotel is dog friendly; not an issue except when you can hear dogs barking early in the morning and can see evidence of dog hair still on the carpets in the room. It was also little things like the wardrobe doors were really squeaky and noisy; the door handle in room 21 is fixed upside down so you can’t easily open the door from the inside; the French windows had a little bolt on the door - but it couldn’t be lined up to lock it.
