St Leonards Hotel by Greene King Inns

It was much quieter than expected and we had a great night’s sleep. The staff were lovely, especially the gentleman on Reception who was there to greet us and then back again the next morning for our departure! The food was very good as well.

Only that while our room had obviously been painted recently, the bathroom was prepped for painting but obviously still awaiting the painter! A little sign to explain would have been a friendly touch.

Both the breakfast and Dinner were well prepared and I enjoyed the Chicken Schnitzel very much. The room was tidy and comfortable. The overall price of the room was a deciding point in booking, the good food was a bonus (compared to other hotels I've stayed in - this definitely was prepared by a good chef).

Being on my own the bar area was quiet and no TV. I had my meal and one drink and retired to my room, as there was nothing to keep me down stairs, which meant I didn't have a second drink.

WiFi signal weak in room. Had to repeatedly login.
