York Family Luxury Cabin with hot tub

The whole cabin was superb

Cosy and warm place, nice and clean We all loved it

I had to pay for Netflix no signal on tv dirty trays in the oven the bed was too low

Dog friendly with a fence off garden.

It's not possible to cook a proper meal in the kitchen. All the pots and pans were not in a reasonable condition to use. The property, especially the kitchen crockery, was not clean properly. Maybe it's because there's no dishwasher.

Location was good.

It was sold as a family friendly lodge. The childrens play area was filthy and covered in spiders/ spider webs. The grass was over grown and full of nettles. The goal posts were broken that we had to fix ourselves. The decking had sharp bits sticking up when the wood had split. The kitchen was lacking essentials such as large sharp knife.

It had the basic necessities. In theory, it could be a really lovely place to stay.

The fact that a Ring Camera is directly facing the hot tub is disgusting! There is nothing in the description that says anything about a camera on the property at all (according to booking.com, this should be stated prior to booking). I felt extremely uncomfortable with the camera being there so put a towel over it whilst myself and husband used the hot tub. The owner of the property then turned on a security light, it went off, then back on again and once they realised we couldn’t be seen, an very loud alarm went off until we removed the towel. This is very disturbing and unacceptable. The alarm almost woke my toddler. The hot tub was also in need of a clean. We were highly disappointed in the upkeep of the outside of the property. The weeds are taking over, which made it difficult to enjoy the grass area. The children’s play area was filthy. Bird poo and cobwebs all over, hosing it down should be a part of the cleaning service. It definitely hasn’t been cleaned for a while. There isn’t a blind or curtain in the kids room, which makes no sense to me.

The beds were really comfy. The outside area with football goal and hot tub are fab. Lodge was very spacious, well decorated and great value for money at this time of year.

Only one towel per person. No scissors in kitchen. The tv was frustrating as only watch through apps.

A cozy place with plenty of open space — our child was absolutely thrilled with the slide in the backyard and spent almost all of their time there!

I wouldn’t call these major drawbacks — the outdoor area just needs a bit more thorough cleaning, and the fabric cover over the hot tub could use replacing.
