York Family Luxury Cabin with hot tub

Nice location. Just a short drive to York maze and not far from York itself. The actual lodge itself was nicely decorated and kitted out.

When we first arrived there was a very foisty smell, a dirty pillow and pillow cases had been left wet in the washing machine. The beds weren't too comfortable, and if your tall you will struggle to fit on the main bed. Stains on the kids mattresses, and no blinds/curtains on the window of the kids room. The cleanliness of the whole lodge tbh could be a lot better. Be prepared to be woken up with the smoke/carbon monoxide detector beeping every 5 mins from 5am. The hot tub is ok but again could've been cleaner. We had a couple of problems with wasps as soon as the doors were opened and the camera pointing towards the hot tub invades privacy a bit. The shower is something else. It gets water everywhere. Could really do with a different shower head. Didn't use the outdoor furniture as the cushions get left out and were minging. Felt like I had to keep chasing to receive the damage/security deposit back.

Location. The lodge. Quiet surroundings. The privacy was good. Hot tub was really good.

The nettles in the garden. Lots of ants in the lodge and the hot tub. No Ant repellant had to buy some. Had to buy and replace batteries in TV remote. Shower was dodgy had to help each other shower because water would go everywhere due to poor positioning of shower head. Only 1 small towel bath provided each for each person during our stay. Had to go buy New ones to use at the hot tub.

Loved the Lodge. There was plenty of room, and I loved the garden for my dog. The location was beautiful and close to places to walk your dog. I can't thank Tracey enough for setting everything up for my arrival.

There was a surprise 200-pound deposit, that although I was told by the owners it was in my details... went back over everything, and it wasn't. The ant infestation, but they are now aware, so hopefully, they get them fixed

Loved the lodge it was very clean inside, hot tub was lovely & all fenced in what made it perfect for my dogs to roam around .

Although the lodge was lovely there’s a few things what needs improving, it’s lovely inside but the outside looks very tired the decking needs a paint as all flakes off making it look really scruffy the grass area needs tidying. There was only 2 small towels usually you get 2 hand & 2 bath good job I took plenty with me. The hot tub was lovely but had to contact site manager to change the water as very dirty I suggested it needed a chlorine tablet dispenser to keep the water clean. There was no normal tv channels which lucky for me I had a Netflix account this definitely needs changing. The shower was useless you can’t adjust the shower just sprays to the opposite side of the wall so have to take it off to shower yourself , for the few mins it would take to change it needs doing . Mattress in main room not very comfy. Knives & forks could do with updating. Nothing really much around the area but there is a Thai restaurant on site which is good but we choose to have an Indian only half mile up the road sit in it takeaway . The cameras facing hot tub invades your privacy wasn’t happy about that either . Some cleaning products left would be a great idea so we could clean up a bit to help the cleaners.

Based in a nice area in York, it was a nice stay away. Site manager on the site was lovely and so we're the residents.

Shower head wasn't a proper shower head, found a lot of crumbs and cobwebs in the cabin. Ring cameras over looking the walk way to the hot tub area. The egg chair had a bolt missing and it fell on top of my son and left a mark on his head. Due to the bolt missing it fell over during the night and woke everyone up. TV wasn't tuned in as was no signal in front room area.

Spacious, quiet, well equipped, hot tub excellent

Main bed wasn’t very comfortable and the shower sprayed water everywhere due to the way it is mounted. Grassed areas of garden could do with tidying and the table and chairs at the front of the property looking very tired.

One word NOTHING

Was nothing like the pictures, they was cobwebs everywhere, which I may add I cleaned myself, ants everywhere, felt violated going in the hot tub as there is a camera pointing down on it, which again the hot tub was dirty . The decking wasn’t like it was in the picture it needs repainting the furniture on the decking wasn’t covered in cobwebs which you couldn’t sit on, 2 stations on the tv that’s all we could get, I could go on and on but I think I’d be wasting more of my time , I don’t want to waste anymore time on this like I wasted the money, it’s never seen luxury an where they get the 9.8 from I don’t know

location was good

the hot tub was not filled all the way to the top with no hose available to do so ourselves, jet streams just ended up spraying more water out the tub..the tvs have no signal so can't be used unless you have a Netflix account. The shower head is pointless, you either have to hold it to use it or soak the wall instead. Lack of info from them to get your deposit back when they state it will be returned, possible it may never have been returned.
