Pentre Cottage

The location shown on Booking.com was completely different from the real one. The name and address listed were wrong — the place was actually in the middle of a forest with no houses or people around, while we expected it to be in the town centre as mentioned online. Because of the incorrect address, we went to the wrong place first. When we contacted the owner, she gave us a different address, which was really disappointing and misleading. Especially since it was night, we had no other option but to stay there. This was a very unpleasant experience and the listing should be corrected to show the real location

Totally peaceful, with just the trees and the river to hear. Cosy, comfy and in a stunning setting. Amazing views from the room.

There was a mix up with rooms so the lovely Karen helped us out and got us another room to stay in. We were very tired after being at a funeral and decided to stay last minute in Wales as the drive back to London was very tiring. Thank you so much for your help.

Nothing. I left and didn’t stay

Not very clean downstairs- bag of rubbish outside front door. Didn’t like the smell inside the building. No towels provided and light not working in the windowless shower room. We arrived wet and cold after walking and needed a hot shower- so left and drive home (2 hours).

Location was excellent, very central for the Brecon Beacons. Peaceful and quiet setting, loved the narrow road to get to it. Great mountain view from our room.
