Quiet New Forest attic room den

Thank you, Joy, for being so welcoming and for your advice regarding bike routes in the New Forest. It's also great to have a kettle and tea in the room.

A compact and comfortable first floor room in a beautiful, quiet, treetop setting. Lovely smiley host called Joy made us most welcome. Reached by it's own staircase, thoughtfully equipped and homely room, including single and double bed. All spotless, plus tea, coffee, microwave, TV etc. En-suite shower room with a quirky door! Ideal for our brief stay with a ten year old and a spaniel. Would visit again.

En pleine nature. Bien au calme.

L'accès n'est pas facile et le chemin fort défoncé. C'est fort exigu. Il y a trop de meubles dont un grand bureau et une commode qui prennent trop de place. Résultat un des lits est télescopique et un peu petit pour des grands gaillard comme nous.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities where good along with the very good shower.

The entrance door lock to the room was faulty.

The yale key didn't work and the host out. She responded quickly to get someone to ket me in and provide a spare (this was hard to use and I strongly suggest a new lock is needed!) I was in the dark on my own at 9.30 at night locked out!

The untreated road where the house was situated was very steep with uneven surface. I felt unsafe leaving my car parked on a slope and then navigating a 3 point turn every morning. Maybe a hard standing needed or else suggest somewhere else to park nearby where it is level with a firm surface not gravel and dirt. The room itself ok and everything worked but overshadowed by those drives back and concern if the key would work.
