The Cottages at Ivy Farm by Charles Alexander Short Stay

We stayed as a family group, spread across cottages 3 and 7. Lovely quiet location, a short drive (20 mins) from Blackpool. Well decorated and homely. Excellent value for money. Cottage 7 (on a single level) was particularly good and could be rented alongside cottage 6 for larger families needing more space - one is adjacent to the other with a shared internal porch.

Minor things that could be improved.... Cottage 3 could do with a larger casserole type saucepan and we had a bit of trouble controlling the temperature in rooms upstairs. Those with mobility/sight issues may need assistance walking through the courtyard at night (a bit irregular underfoot with limited lighting)

The location. Simplicity of the property. Cleanliness and garden furniture

The grass was too long however the weather had been rubbish so this isn’t a complaint. I had dogs and it made it a little hard to collect when they went to do their business.

Extremely clean and well appointed. No difficulty getting parked. Nice and quiet.

The wifi was very weak in the lounge and the connection dropped out frequently. We had to rely on the 4G on our phones. That was the only thing.

Location was great ,had a private drive from the main road which was great for walking the dogs.also had a enclosed back yard to let our grandchild and dogs run about in when he came to visit us .having a extra down stairs toilet was great as I suffer from knee pain.

Cottages were clean, freshly decorated and lovely big space for the family and kids. Gardens are spacious and location and views are great.
