Luxurious 4 Bedroom House

Everything very clean, never been to a cleaner guesthouse than this one.

Very uncomfortable to have a camera on you in the kitchen, the bed was thin and old, barely able to open the window, we weren't allowed to stay to eat our breakfast after checkout.

Very poor sound isolation between floors. A camera recording from the floor. We tried to contact the owner with no response.

Walking distance to airport.

After multiple text messages consisting of capital letter demands and threats of being removed from the property if not adhered to we arrive to have the exact same demands and threats played over a recording at the highest volume upon opening the door. If that wasn't bad enough, we get upstairs to our room and sit on the edge of the bed to find the mattress disgracefully uncomfortable. So much so that we most definitely weren't sleeping there a night. We sat searching the internet for another nearby accommodation as we had no car to get about, so we had to walk. We messaged the owner, who we now know was at the property and seen us walk away. We had time to walk to the next accommodation before they replied to our message of disgust, offering us a better mattress in another room but no refund because my partner used the toilet before leaving their building. I have a copy of all the messages and photo of arrival and departure if anyone would like me to back up what I'm saying. Very unprofessional. We travelled a long way from Tasmania to encounter this. We ended up at the premier inn just around the corner which had amazing comfortable bed and wonderful friendly and helpful staff.

Positive - close to airport / Quiet

Negative - very difficult to find using satnav and to find way out of afterwards / 3rd floor room not suitable for guests with large suitcases as staircases quite narrow and steep - also ledges on stair edges very painful in socks (required)! Bed poor quality and bedding very hot (poor ventilation in room)

The location was good, we needed to be at the airport at midday.

The list of "rules" that arrived shortly before we arrived was incredibly patronizing. We would not have chosen this accommodation if we'd have known how much we would be restricted by them. We're grown up people and this catalogue of do's and don't was woefully rude. To describe this as luxury is highly laughable, though the price was not sky high compared to other options locally. Tiles in the bathroom were broken, the shelves for tea and coffee etc were so inadequate, a small table would have been far more practical. No chairs or bedside tables? Holes in the wall where someone had ripped off the shelves no doubt. To have rules about "no noise" is highly ridiculous when every floorboard creaked, every door rattled and we could hear the TV from our neighbours very clearly, possibly no wall insulation. The lights were like standing on the runway of the airport, so we had to open the blinds as no bedside lights or tables were in this room. The biggest joke of all was that checkout is at 9.00am. Is this host kidding? To be fair it was warm, the shower was hot and powerful enough. The towels were nice and freshly laundered. The complimentary tea and coffee was appreciated in the morning as we had to get up so early to leave on time, or risk the FINE of £20

The location is great and the room is clean.

The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no lamp, so you either have to sit with the big light on or in pitch black.
