Beautiful room and bathroom

Breakfast average. I don’t expect to have to point out to the kitchen that my fried eggs and toast were quite hard. They were well aware of this when they plated and served it.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and well thought out with a nice large bathroom. Our only complaint would be firstly the flies in the restaurant area. There were a LOT of flies and all the time we were eating they were landing on our food. We had to cover our food over at one point with napkins. I mentioned it to a member of staff whilst we were eating our breakfast. She said she had sprayed and closed the doors, but by this time they were already in the room and it was such a large area, I don't think a bit of fly spray would cut it! Maybe a suggestion in summer to have fly screens on the doors? The other complaint we had was that our food on the Sunday evening was cold. It really seemed as though it had been sat there waiting on the plate for a while. I had the chicken breast which was hot. However, my potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables were all cold. I actually ate my meal without saying anything but my husband refused to eat it because it was so cold. He was offered another meal but had been put off by this point. My husband's meal was refunded, but mine was not. On a plus note, the breakfast's were excellent, very tasty and locally sourced produce

Great food. Good continental buffet choices, lovely fresh fruit too. Fruit juices, great coffee. Choices for hot breakfast - excellent and served well, presented really well, taste - great.

Beautiful rooms, great bar and restaurant. The balcony to sit out was great and a really nice garden too.
