Fishergate Luxury Town House- Close To City Centre

Great for two couples

It took us a while to know there was a downstairs bathroom. It seemed to be a locked door but it wasn't. The scary thing was that if you don't do the front door lock just right you can easily be locked IN. One morning we had to use a knife to pry the lock open. This needs to be fixed!!

Convenient. Easy walk to everything. Clean.

There is no shower soap, and there is no place to put the soap down in the shower. (after you've gone out to purchase some). There are a few handy markets to purchase, soap, shampoo, food & drink.

What a lovely place to stay. The town house was so clean, tidy and really comfortable. It’s modern and has everything you need, we had such a pleasant stay. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, such a great little touch. There was tea, coffee and milk which was lovely to find after a long drive. The views out the windows was great so had a coffee in the bay windows every morning to watch the world go by. Town was a short ten minute walk a long the river which there was plenty of places to eat and drink. We’re already looking at booking this property again, so thank you for making our experience in York a perfect family weekend :)

There’s nothing to not like, it’s everything that has been described so there was no disappointment

The house was so homely and comfortable and clean. Plus close to the centre of York.

Great location and only minimal noise from the ring road outside. Short 10 min walk to the shambles

Only slight moan was the lack of a microwave in the kitchen

Accommodation and facilities exactly as described, and the upstairs bedroom is outstanding. Location was superb for York Barbican, and also for central York. Communications were excellent and timely. Would certainly stay again.

All was as described, so I have little. There is no parking (and the description says so) and parking in the nearby Q-Park is not cheap at £19 a day, but it was very secure and cost known in advance.

Excellent central location with easy access to the city centre & comfortable well equipped appartment. Welcome gift of Prosecco & snack.

Bedroom 3 was small with nowhere at all to put luggage. The tables in the kitchen & the living room only sat four & this may have caused difficulties if more people were staying.Also as the property was described as 'luxury' it may have been nice to have some little touches such as shower gel.

Good location, bedrooms were away from the main road, so wasn’t noisy.

Heating was not on when we arrived so it was freezing. Turned thermostat up but heating did not come on. Realised after the first night it had been turned off at the boiler. All guests woke up freezing.
