Woodsmill Quay Riverside Apt - Heart of York

We really enjoyed our stay - the flat itself is beautiful, lots of space in both bedrooms, the view from the living room is absolutely stunning, completely in the heart of the city - Shambles Market, York Minster, Jorvik Centre, York Dungeons all within about 5 mins walk, and we loved the added touch of a coffee machine in our apartment! :)

Really minor things - the apartment is quite dark, not a lot of natural sunlight comes in, but lots of lighting is provided. In our particular apartment, our hot water ran out after only 1 bath, but it did come back the next day. It might be specific to the one we stayed in (No. 35), and since we were only there for two nights, it wasn't a biggie.

The apartment was beautiful and in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed our stay so much.

We struggled to work out the windows so got very hot but then managed on the last night. Otherwise it was perfect.

Location was perfect, very close to York city centre which meant we could leave the car and walk. Apartment was lovely, warm and comfortable with all the amenities you could need.

Sat nav didn't cope very well despite the postcode info and after going round the one-way system twice and encountering loads of road works we had to ring for better directions. Beds were comfy but not keen on pillows which were a bit flat and not very supportive.

The apartment was excellent for two couples with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Having a dedicated parking space was a main reason for us booking and the location was excellent. It was a short walk over the nearby bridge and we were into York centre. There is a local pub nearly opposite that was very friendly but no meals on offer. I would not hesitate to use this apartment again as being right on the riverside you get lots to sit and watch.

Great location, comfortable accommodations and handy parking for York.

The only disappointment was that when we booked the accommodations the property advertised as having a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upon arrival the dryer function was no longer working. Being a family travelling for several weeks through the UK reliable washing and drying facilities were key to our decision to book the property. The property management had since revised the property’s facilities and had provided a clothes drying rack instead. Not quite the same but we managed.

Walking distance to town. We got the train and no car was needed.

1st visit to York and will come again. So no negative comments.
