Woodsmill Quay Riverside Apt - Heart of York

Lovely comfy apartment, only a few minutes walk from the centre of York and handy for restaurants and shops. It had everything we needed, and comfy sofas and chairs for relaxing, can't fault either facilities or location. Warm and cozy, lovely view over the river towards the city centre.

The only slightly negative thing would be that the instructions for getting in could be a little more precise. The key boxes are located in the main courtyard (rather than "round the corner from the main door" as the instructions state), and there are several doors into different parts of the complex from the courtyard - it would have been useful to know we needed door B, and then to take the lift to floor 3. It didn't exactly take us long to work it out, but would have made it a slightly smoother arrival.

Apartment was smaller than it looked on pics, windows didn't open and if they did it wasn't obvious how to open . No handbook how to work heating or any essential information. No oven gloves ,fish slice .....basic utensils although there were a few different utensils. Had to clean oven tray before using it as there was food stuck to it ! Not sure last time floors were cleaned as lots of dirt/dust under couch and chairs( ,I was picking something up and this is how I noticed it ).Kitchen space very limited for worktops

Comfy beds. Good sized rooms and tastefully decorated. Warm. Supply of essentials, eg milk, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, soap, dishwasher tablets and more. Parking space. Lift. View. Perfect location for walking around York. Would visit again.

The apartment was mostly clean but a few things had been missed. En suite smelt of drain water but went away after running the basin tap and shower. Traps probably need a flush.

Liked looking out to the water and watching the tour boat go by.

The floors in apartment weren’t level. Felt like you were walking up a slope or down a slope. Weird experience. And not a pleasant one. Need new mattresses on beds.
