Cheerful Studio Getaway/Garden/By Lake State Park.

The host was very responsive. Great to have some coffee for the morning, and there was toothpaste, which we had forgotten. The bed was very comfortable.

It would be good to be sure there is soap in the bathroom, as well as a bathmat. We did have plenty of towels!

The landlord did not attend my questions and inquiries despite confirming the booking. The place is separated in two spaces, the studio and the remaining half of the house with a living room, a kitchen, a restroom and three bedrooms. For your information, the spaces are only separated with a thin piece of plywood, which means that they both are not isolated sound-wise (so yes, you can even hear when the other tenants are scratching their head, it is this bad. Earplugs highly recommended if you want to get some rest 😂)! At the moment of checking-in, I was informed that he had overbooked the studio, and I was told to stay in the other half of the house. I was fine with it as I was only staying for one night, and my flight departed the very next day. However, when I checked the space more in detail, it was all dirty and not carefully prepared for someone to come in: hairs in the shower, the toilet was falling apart, misterious stains everywhere, the WC's sink had toothpaste remainings and that for the kitchen had weird pieces of food (?). Same goes for the fridge. Oh! And remember, if you want to dust the floor, just leave the trash in a corner, or try to hide the chunks in spaces between the wood boards on the floor... tenants are silly folks that do not realise about it, yeah! Clearly the space was being remodelled and it was not prepared to host people yet. It was very noticeable when two of the three rooms were completely empty. This came as a big, disappointing surprise not only given the good reviews posted in this Booking page, but also given the inability of the landlord to address my concerns before posting this review. If it has happened once, it can happen again. Watch out!!

For get away from the bubble and buzzle of the city.. It is a great place to stay.. Yo have a full house with proper heating and a kitchen to your self. The area is pretine with clean roads and neighborhood and safe. The host Mr Bryan is very freindly and unobtrusive. Internet is great .. There is also a big TV with netflix etc. Uber Taxi and Delvery services are available within 5 to 10 minutes.

Little away from the city.. Public transport accessability is limited.. If you have a vehicle to drive it is very convenient. Travelling in to the city is difficult as there are no Metro stations nearby.Neares MTR is about 8 miles away. I could not find any park in walking sistance.

The location was perfect. It was within a 5 minutes walk from the subway. We were able to take the subway from Long Island to the heart of New York City. The area was clean and very safe. Bryan, our host was very friendly and concerned about our comfort. He was within a phone call away if we needed anything. The grounds were nicely manicured and we can't wait to return when the beautiful trees are blooming in his yard.
