Cheerful Studio Getaway/Garden/By Lake State Park.

Brian, the host, was not only a friendly face who did an exceptional job making me feel comfortable at the property, but he also was extremely responsive to questions and knowledgeable of the area.

The house itself was very nice and wonderfully located next to the Hempstead Gardens LIRR stop - the only thing I would request to change/upgrade would be the furniture in the living room - the couch and chairs could have been more comfortable to lounge in.

The property was spacious and well equipped. Bed was comfortable and apartment was warm. Good location for trains

Unfortunately the neighbours were rather noisy

The last night in New York turned into a nightmare We arrived on time at 4pm. This is a place of accommodation separated by a residential house into two halves. We can only enter the room from the backyard. The owner came from next door to open the door for us and introduce the facilities. The lights in the house were not bright and the TV could not be turned on. He said that this is not usually the case and that everything should be usable, but today it all happened at once. Give him some time to fix it. We know that old houses always have these problems and don't mind. While we were waiting for the owner to fix the equipment, like a competent guest, we did not touch anything in the house except for praise. After the introduction, we walked out the door and noticed that something was wrong with the screen door. The rod that closed the door automatically had fallen off, which might be why the door had not closed automatically. We noticed this and told the owner that he could fix it when he had time and we didn't mind. He suddenly became furious and accused us of breaking it. We had only been in the house for a few minutes and had not touched anything, so how could we have broken the automatic switch on the door? The automatic closer of the screen door locked with screws could not fall off and break just by looking at it (we are not X-men). It is also impossible for it to be damaged by just walking past it without making any sound. This accusation is too ridiculous! We are not responsible for anything that we did not do. We kindly reminded the owner that maybe we could ask the previous guests or other colleagues what happened. Because we didn't touch the door at all. He started to become hysterical, shouting that he saw us touching it, and snatched the key from my hand, saying that he would cancel the reservation, find someone to repair it, and then send us the bill.
