"Perfect location and would return"

9.0

Location was stunning. Couldn’t fault the facilities, even had a coffee cafeteria, washing machine and dish washer. Log burner was a bonus. Beds were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was clean and a deep bath and shower had a good pressure.

There was a hornet in the kitchen when we arrived and quite a few cobwebs and spiders. Appreciate it was the countryside but my friend was bitten one night.

"Amazing"

9.0

A lovely cozy quirky farm cottage. Had an amazing stay, loved the old style of building with exposed timbers. The cottage was nice a warm too and the kitchen underfloor heating helped with keeping the feet warm in the morning. Would happily go stay again.

Possibly instructions on how to get the fire going good

"Fabulous stay definitely will return and highly recommend."

Spacious, warm, and cosy. Liked the separate living room with fire.

Maybe a bit more light for the outside garden.

"Wonderful peaceful retreat"

Comfortable, cosy and spacious. Great views. Good walks from doorstep and easy access to others too. Very well equipped. Great quality towels and bedding.

Settee a little tired and lacking support.

"Back again!"

8.0

Lovely cottage, warm, spacious and well-equipped, in a wonderful location, with sumptuous views. Our second visit this year, which indicates our liking! Third booking made already for later in the year.

As stated previously this year, windows need a good clean! And please, oh please, provide better, bigger bath towels. It really matters!

"Thoroughly enjoyable stay in a beautiful cottage, centrally located to explore the Peak District."

10.0

Traditional, warm, cosy & in a peaceful, lovely location. We all felt very comfortable (4 adults & 1 dog) It really felt home from home.

The only small gripe was the chest of drawers in the twin bedroom - the drawers do not open & close easily.

"Half term cottage holiday with hiking and trips out with the family."

10.0

What a cosy cottage. I loved the enclosed back garden with views overlooking the fields and hills. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The bathroom was great, powerful shower, water hotter than the sun and instant so you didn't need to wait forever for hot water for a bath. The bedrooms were also great, kids shared and we're happy and slept well, main bedroom was lovely, lots of space and the bed was very comfortable. Again lovely views out the back window.

Not suitable if you're 6 foot 2 or taller, my boyfriend banged his head 3 times on the first night on the low door frame of the bathroom and the main bedroom, he has concussion 🤦🏻‍♀️ if you are tall to avoid injury leave the landing light on so you can see where you are going when you need to get up for the loo in the night. Not suitable if you wanted to bring your bikes, there is no where to safely store them and would have to be kept in the kitchen which would not be ideal. I'd like to visit with bikes and would not book to stay here if I brought them, but without bikes, it's perfect, a good base for going out for walks.
