There were a lot of cockroaches and insects.

The team was responsive when we faced some issues: dirty water in washing machine, no AC remote control for one bedroom, not enough towels. They were friendly and helpful.

I wish we had had a message from reception before arriving with the correct location coordinates, letting us know arrival procedures. I phoned three times when we arrived in Muscat and there was no answer. I was about to make other arrangements and tried again and finally there was an answer. That is when we received the location and check in procedures. It would have been less stressful had they used the booking.com message system to inform us a few days earlier.

Overall, this is a great apartment in a beautiful setting in an easy to access location. The apartment has almost all the basic amenities and works well as a self catering option. It is just off the highway so easy to head into the city or down the coast. Check in / check out was very easy to arrange. Walking distance to the beach and to beautiful views. It is a functioning fishing village so neat to watch the boats come back in the evening. Everyone in the village was very friendly. There is a very small grocery with a handful of items but otherwise no stores

The property does not provide toilet paper! This is important to know before you arrive. The manager did bring us some as we didn't know we had to bring our own. There is also no paper towel or tissues etc so come prepared. We stayed a few days and it would be great to have a broom / mop as the floor got very grimy with sand and water (both hot water heaters drip so there are wet floors in the bathrooms) and we had no way to clean it (or any spills). It would also be really helpful to have instructions on how to work the air conditioning remotes as we never figured them out so we were either hot or cold! Mattress in the double bed room could use a mattress topper - it was very hard. I would also suggest the manager check in at some point, we didn't hear from anyone from check-in to check-out. Overall though, these were all minor issues and we would return and stay here again.

The location is quiet but it's near Muscat and right next to beautiful beaches. The apartment is huge! Two bedrooms with separate bathrooms, and the living room is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. Internet was fast (Whatsapp calls are blocked in all of Oman, we didn't know at first and thought it was just this wifi, but just so you know it's like that everywhere). We enjoyed taking a boat to a beach nearby, beautiful sand and we had it to ourselves. The men at the beach will approach you, 15 rial, for five more he took us on a longer tour, can recommend.

Nicole told us if we had any questions we could contact her. When a dolphin watching tour got concelled the very last minute, we asked her if she could tell us about other activities. We never received a reply - but she was very quick to respond for all the important stuff like checking in and out! It was just weird that she never gave any response to our activity dilemma. We found something else. And you need to switch on the boiler yourself for hot water. There are a lot of different switches for the lights, AC, and the hot water tank, you need to find out what is what on your own.
