"The place just looked neglected."

3.0

Bed was comfortable. Lots of cupboard/ wardrobe space.

Dirty and rusty windows with paint peeling off. Rusty old bin in toilet in toilet. Broken vanity mirror in bathroom - hanging off. Lamp with no plug that served no purpose. Outside area neglected with odds and ends eveywhere.

"It was OK, but I wouldn't go again"

6.0

Excellent location and parking. Beautiful village. Pleasant hosts. Clean.

Room felt damp. The room was warm enough, but the portable heater and towel rail in bathroom were the only sources of heat. Electrics not PAT tested since 2024. Door of bedroom (the room was an outside one, situated in the courtyard) was lockable but not very secure, which made me as a lone female traveller feel very unsafe

Cheap. Location. Clean

No bar, ancient 'crossroads motel ' rooms. Basically clapped out but was clean and cheap. Pub had gone bust. No bar.

"Good value if traffic noise doesn’t bother you"

7.0

The bed was very comfortable & loved the feather duvet.

I hadn’t realised it was right on main road, so the traffic noise kept me awake all night. Was informed at check in that they are not doing breakfast because short staffed.

"I would use it again as a one night stopover; it was comfortable and well-equipped."

6.0

Had a fridge. Constant scalding hot water.. Breakfast fine. Ample parking. Warm bed.

Only one place within walking distance to get a dinner; it wasn't a place I would have gone to twice if I'd had a choice. Bath sheet, instead of a sensible bath towel; I can't see the point. Poor radio reception, but that's not a fault of the establishment; I find that in a lot of places. Room light not bright enough for me.

"Not good"

1.0

Couldn't be bothered to get up and make breakfast on time at 7.30, at 7.55am lights still off and no-one to be seen , so myself and 12 year old son had to find breakfast elsewhere

"Very disappointing, unclean and no people skills, I would take this place off your site."

2.0

Breakfast was edible but once you ticked what you wanted on the first day then that’s what you had for the duration. No other choices if you didn’t want a cooked one. Much too early, had to eat by 8.30. Fortunately there was a lovely pub nearby where we could have lunch or dinner.

A very long list I’m afraid 😱 When we arrived, tea and biscuits were bought out but the biscuits were stale. The outside tables were never cleared of cigarette ends and general rubbish and weeds growing all around in the so called courtyard. Our rooms were never cleaned or bins emptied and no top up of tea, coffee and milk. Behind the main building, there was a stack of very stained mattresses leaning against the wall, absolutely disgusting. I think I’ve said enough, would not recommend to my worst enemy.
