Breakfast was good. It was cold days but they put an electric radiator.

A good breakfast - though not much choice Bedroom - an outside chalet - suited me perfectly as I attended a midnight mass and wouldn't have wanted to disturb the whole place at 1 am Christmas morning!

Can't be anything serious - I stayed there last Christmas

It was beautiful, so old and so much character. Very quiet with some nice walks nearby.

Receptionist didn’t speak English. On second morning two eggs were broken before being fried and the other two had hard yolks. Hot breakfast was served before cereal was eaten. Bathroom was cold as heated towel rail was off.

It was warm and clean.

Despite being warm and clean, the place seemed very dated. Much of the place has obviously not been updated from the 1970’s. The boiler located above my bedroom was boiling, bubbling and popping up til 2.30am, a little worrying, had to call the owner who then climbed up into the loft to turn it off, so no hot water the next morning. The owner hid away most of the time over the 2 night stay. Breakfast was partially edible, so did not bother on the second morning.

was a great base for exploring the Oxford area. The breakfast room is so very charming.
