Milana Beach Resort & Spa Phú Quốc

We ended up our Vietnam trip at this charming resort. It's situated in a rather uninspiring area, slightly away from the main attractions, but there are local market, shops, and scooter rentals close by. The rooms are spacious, fairly basic, yet equipped with all the essentials. The breakfast was decent—average selection but tasty. The infinity pool, with its ocean view, was a highlight.

We stayed in waterfront bungalows which were lovely, great view and location. That said, the place itself was lovely. We made use of balcony and hammock in evenings. Lovely views of lagoon and beach. Very quiet location, you practically have beach, kayakers, paddling board and swimming pool to yourselves. Only a few guests stay at resort in the day- very chilled.

If you’re arriving late, stop and get food/drinks, the restaurant/bar closes for food at 9pm and there are no snacks or mini bar to keep you going. There is a little shop a very dark walk away (10mins) you’ll need a torch, or a large supermarket in the village (a 10 min drive/grab away). If you are fusy about hotel rooms, then the room is in need of some updates- our sink was hanging on a large nail gradually coming away from wall. However, we were at the end of our Vietnam travelling when we stayed here and we had definitely seen worse and the peace and tranquility of our stay overruled the DIY details. Restaurant food is good but pricey for Vietnam.

The room is spacious and well-maintained. The pool and surrounding areas are lovely. The beach and sea are clean everyday. The food and drinks are decent. It's a great spot for swimming and unwinding

Only the location is good and close to the beach. Other than this I don't see any positives in this badly run property.

Staff attitude is pathetic. Not even basic knowledge of English, this becomes very frustrating and irritating. A young boy and girl at reception laugh and mock you when you say something in English. Terrible attitude towards guests. They claim it's a four star property but lacks amenities to prove their claim. When arrived toilets were blocked and I had to remind them about this to get it functional. Room needs renovation and some parts of wall plaster deteriorating and coming off. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away unless you want to spoil your holidays.
